Esta radiografía del abdomen inferior muestra un estrechamiento (estenosis) del extremo distal del intestino delgado (ileon), resultado de la enfermedad de Crohn. Esta enfermedad típicamente afecta el intestino delgado, mientras que la colitis ulcerativa afecta el intestino grueso. Esta radiografía fue tomada después de dar a beber al paciente una solución con un medio de contraste (bario), al momento en que ésta pasó por el intestino delgado (serie GI inferior).
