Fibroadenoma de mama - Overview

Definición:

Es un tumor no canceroso (benigno).

Causas:

El fibroadenoma es el tumor benigno de las mamas más común y el tumor mamario más común en mujeres menores de 30 años.

Un fibroadenoma se compone de tejido de glándula mamaria y tejido que ayuda a sostener a éste.

Las mujeres de raza negra tienden a desarrollar fibroadenomas con más frecuencia y a una edad más temprana que las mujeres de raza blanca. La causa de los fibroadenomas se desconoce.
