Definición:

Las fontanelas excesivamente grandes son puntos blandos de un tamaño mayor al esperado para la edad de un bebé. En un bebé, los espacios donde los huesos del cráneo se juntan, pero no se unen completamente, se denominan puntos blandos o fontanelas (mollera o fontículo).
