Eyaculación retrógrada - Información general

Definición:

Es la entrada de semen en la vejiga en lugar de salir por la uretra durante la eyaculación.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

La eyaculación retrógrada puede ser causada por una cirugía previa de próstata o uretra, diabetes, algunos medicamentos, que incluyen algunos fármacos que se utilizan para controlar la hipertensión (presión arterial alta) y algunos que afectan el estado anímico.

Este trastorno es relativamente poco común y puede presentarse de forma parcial o total. La presencia de semen dentro de la vejiga es inofensiva, porque se mezcla con la orina y se expulsa durante la micción normal. Los hombres con diabetes o a quienes se les ha realizado una cirugía del tracto genitourinario presentan un mayor riesgo de presentar esta afección.
