Trastorno de la personalidad esquizoide


Es una afección psiquiátrica en la cual una persona tiene un patrón vitalicio de indiferencia hacia los demás y de aislamiento social.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

La causa del trastorno esquizoide de la personalidad se desconoce. Este trastorno puede estar relacionado con la esquizofrenia y comparte con ésta muchos de los mismos factores de riesgo.

Sin embargo, este trastorno no es tan incapacitante como la esquizofrenia, ya que no causa alucinaciones, delirios ni la desconexión completa de la realidad que se presenta en los casos de esquizofrenia sin tratamiento (o resistente al tratamiento).
