Miomas uterinos - Symptom

Síntomas:

Los síntomas más comunes de los miomas uterinos son:

Sangrado entre períodos.
Sangrado menstrual abundante (menorragia), a veces con el paso de coágulos de sangre.
Períodos menstruales que pueden durar más de lo normal.
Necesidad de orinar con mayor frecuencia.
Calambres pélvicos o dolor con los períodos.
Sensación de llenura o presión en la parte baja del abdomen.
Dolor durante la relación sexual.

Nota: a menudo no hay ningún síntoma. El médico puede encontrarlos durante una exploración física u otro examen. Los miomas a menudo se encogen y no provocan síntomas en mujeres que han pasado por la menopausia.

Pruebas y exámenes:

El médico llevará a cabo un examen pélvico, el cual puede mostrar que usted tiene un cambio en la forma del útero (matriz).

Puede ser difícil diagnosticar los miomas, especialmente si usted es muy obesa.

Se puede realizar una ecografía para confirmar el diagnóstico de miomas. Algunas veces, se utiliza una resonancia magnética de la pelvis.

Es posible que sea necesario realizar una biopsia endometrial (biopsia del revestimiento del útero) o una laparoscopia para descartar cáncer.
