Secreción ectópica de hormona antidiurética - Tratamiento

Tratamiento:

El tratamiento está encaminado a eliminar la causa del problema (por ejemplo, cirugía para extirpar un tumor productor de HAD).

La restricción en la ingesta de líquidos es otro tratamiento común que ayuda a evitar que el exceso de agua se acumule en el cuerpo.

A los pacientes hospitalizados con HAD ectópica que no responde a otros tratamientos se les puede suministrar tolvaptán por la boca (vía oral) y conivaptán a través de una vena (vía intravenosa). Estos tratamientos bloquean los efectos de la HAD.
