Mesotelioma (benigno-fibroso) - Información general

Definición:

Es un tumor no canceroso de la pleura (revestimiento del pulmón y de la cavidad torácica).

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

Un mesotelioma benigno generalmente es un tumor localizado que afecta con mayor frecuencia a los hombres que a las mujeres. El tumor puede crecer hasta tener un gran tamaño y comprimir el pulmón, causando los síntomas de una dificultad respiratoria.
